Quinta Brunson
Emmy Award-Winning Writer, Actor, Producer, and Stand-up ComedianQuinta Brunson is a writer, actor, producer, and stand-up comedian from Philadelphia, Penn., best known for writing, producing, and starring in the hit primetime sitcom, Abbott Elementary. Quinta’s first ever TV series is a fictional show about teachers in the Philadelphia public school system. In 2022, she became the first Black woman to be nominated for three comedy Emmys and won the award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
Quinta started her journey at Second City in Chicago and has grown to amass over one million Facebook followers and hundreds of millions of video views across Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Prior to joining BuzzFeed Motion Pictures, Quinta created the series The Girl Who’s Never Been on a Nice Date. The series went viral on YouTube and Instagram and was one of the first series to gain a huge, viral fan base on both social platforms.
Quinta was honored as a Just for Laughs New Face of Comedy and was hand-selected by Issa Rae and Jill Soloway for Forbes’ 30 Under 30. She created, sold, executive produced, and starred in two premium streaming series, Broke for YouTube Red and Up For Adoption for Verizon Go90. She also added author to her growing list of accomplishments with, She Memes Well.
